Applications

Eight places stone could not go before.

8 × 1–5 mm

Each one exists for a concrete reason: weight, curvature or the absence of joints. They are not catalog ideas — they are consequences of the material.

Full-height pivot door clad in travertine at a house entrance

5 mm

Doors & panels

Weight compatible with standard hardware.

A door leaf clad in 5 mm marble sits inside the load range of a standard hinge. With 3/4 in of stone, it does not.

Kitchen with a long curved island clad in warm cream natural stone, a matching stone backsplash and hood, and oak cabinetry

1 & 5 mm

Kitchens

Islands, backsplashes and fronts in real stone.

Islands wrapped in one continuous sheet, curved ends, full-height backsplashes and stone-clad cabinet fronts. At 1 mm the stone follows the curve of an island; at 5 mm it covers backsplashes and worktop faces without heavy anchoring.

Bathroom with a freestanding tub clad in grey marble with fine veining

1 & 5 mm

Bathrooms

Tubs, vanities and basins clad in natural stone.

Freestanding tubs, vanities and basins clad in natural stone, with walls in large sheets and few joints. At 1 mm the stone wraps round tubs and curved fronts; at 5 mm it covers walls and vanity tops.

Arch clad in a continuous sheet of marble

1 mm

Architectural elements

Arches and columns clad in one continuous curve.

Arches, vaults and columns clad in a single piece that follows the geometry. The veining runs through the curve instead of breaking at every joint.

Bedside table in travertine and brushed brass, its stone-clad drawer closed

1 & 5 mm

Custom furniture

Stone fronts that truly open and close.

Fronts, doors and drawers in stone, in 1 and 5 mm, that open and close on standard hardware, because they weigh what a veneered panel weighs.

Curved surface clad in a single sheet of natural stone

1 mm

Curved surfaces

A real curve, not segments faking one.

The application that defines the product. A real, continuous curve: no other natural material solves it today without cutting it into segments.

Living room ceiling clad in 5 mm marble panels

5 mm

Ceilings

Viable only at 3–4 lb/ft², not 13–15.

Stone overhead. At 5 mm a square foot weighs 3–4 lb (15–20 kg/m²), against 13–15 lb (63–73 kg/m²) for traditional 3/4 in stone: that difference is what makes a ceiling possible.

Walk-in shower clad floor to ceiling in large travertine slabs with almost invisible joints

5 mm

Walk-in showers

Fewer joints: less seepage, less silicone.

Fewer joints means less silicone, less seepage and less maintenance. In a built-in shower that is the difference between ten years and two.

Your application is not on the list?

It is probably still possible. The limit is set by the construction detail, and we review that with you before there is a quote.
